So we've been editing our horror opening. I think that George has been doing most of it because its on his laptop. However, when we come together on Tuesdays, we do our production work, we all get our input and work together to compromise.
A few Tuesdays ago, Ms. Flavell gave us David Wheeler's advice and constructive criticism on our opening. The first point he made was that we should have had shot of the hallway being full then dissolve out into the shots of the empty, eerie hallways. This is helpful because it emphasizes the atmosphere of the empty hallway. So we filmed the same hallways as we had before, but during changeover. We then edited in these shots with a fade in and fade out effect.
The next thing he asked us to do, was to sync the music with the sequence. He said that the music changed at the wrong point in the film. We changed this last Tuesday so that music changes at the pivotal point in the opening.
